SEASONAL IMMUNITY:

Navigating and Up-Leveling your Health in the Colder Seasons
with Yoga, Therapeutic Nutrition and Breathwork

 

Join Alana Kessler MS RD E-RYT, certified Ayurvedic practitioner, as she supports your immunity. The fall / early winter is vata season and its elements affect the lungs, heart and spleen. During this transition, colds, stomach upset, and bronchitis can present as the digestive fire decreases while cooler elements like air and earth begin to rise up as the temperature drops. Fatigue can result as the body begins to draw from the kidneys to supply extra energy.

Our self care practices must adapt to preserve and support immunity. In this workshop, we will go through a Yin and Flow sequence specifically targeted to nourishing the organs influenced by the seasonal change. I will also give a brief nutrition lecture and breathwork exercises as an enhancement to the practice.
